A.P. Møller Capital – Emerging Markets Infrastructure Fund II K/S

A.P. Moller Capital launched its second fund, the Emerging Markets Infrastructure Fund, in 2022.

Global infrastructure investment needs are forecast to exceed USD 94 trillion over the next twenty years, however the estimated spend based on current investment trends is USD 79 trillion. Asia and Africa together account for USD 6.3 trillion of this additional investment opportunity, in large part driven by rapid population growth, with the population of Africa alone predicted to increase by 86 percent between 2020 and 2050 to nearly 2.5 billion people. Population growth is one of several megatrends - including globalisation, urbanisation, and a growing global middle class - which are expected to result in an increased need for infrastructure investment.

The Emerging Markets Infrastructure Fund II will concentrate on upper middle-market, low carbon intensity transport and renewable energy investments in South / South East Asia and Africa. A.P. Moller Capital will continue the strategy of its first fund, the Africa Infrastructure Fund I by leveraging (i) its sector expertise within transportation (ports, warehousing, intermodal) and energy infrastructure, and (ii) its strong regional and global relationships.

A.P. Møller Capital - Emerging Markets Infrastructure Fund II K/S is governed and regulated by the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority as an Alternative Investment Fund.
